Dr. Schneider qualified from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Buenos Aires in 2001 and then trained as a child and adolescent psychiatrist in Beer Yaakov Ness Ziona Mental Health Center, Israel. She has extensive experience with treating young people with behavioural, neuropsychiatric, developmental and psychotic disorders. Alongside her clinical work she contributed to biological and neuropsychopharmacological research under the supervision of Prof. Robert H. Belmaker, Ben Gurion University of the Negev and Prof. Alan Apter, Sackler School of Medicine, Tel-Aviv University. In recognition of her contribution to academic and research work, she was selected in 2009 by the medical directors of the psychiatric hospitals in Israel for the “Young Research Leadership”, a group within the Israeli Biological Psychiatry Association seen as “the future leaders of biological and clinical research in Israeli biological psychiatry”.
